Text Box: The bowl speed is less than the drive, this means that there is greater control during the delivery and this minimizes the margin of error created by excessive body movements. If the shot is played too fast the bowl is often lost to the head.
Text Box: Bowl Speed is at least to the ditch or beyond.
Objectives:
   i)   To displace the opponents' bowl(s) out of the head to improve your count.
ii)  To displace the opponents' counting cluster of bowls.
   iii)  To kill the head.
iv)  To run the jack into the ditch.
Pre Shot Routine:
Identify the new target and establish the new line reference point.
Adjustment from initial line reference at 1 to the new reference point at 2 is determined by the bowl speed of the shot.
Note:  The desired line is determined by the amount of movement from the centre line, 3, to the new position at 4.
Shot Play:  All movement is now along the NEW delivery line, reference point 2.
Bowl speed adjustment for this shot determines the new reference point.
Success Factors:
   i)   Line - playing down a channel identifying the line between 30 - 50cm wide of target.
ii)   Bowl speed - it is important to develop a mindset for the speed required.

Rules.

Movement of Bowls when Counting Shots.

When you and your opponent agree, the counting bowls are removed from the head and placed in a group where they will not interfere with the measuring.
(In this way there should be no errors in counting the number of shots.)

Etiquette.

The customs and rules that govern social interaction; about our behaviour on the green and around the club.
The unwritten or conventional rules of courtesy between players.

Take an interest in the game, follow how the head is being built up so you do not have to ask the other team members what the situation is.
